Brewery Vivant Tripel
April 24th, 2012 | Add a Comment
Lately Brewery Vivant has been consistently crafting some delicious beers. It’s an easy brewery to recommend since they don’t really make a bad beer. We recently sampled a trio of delicious limited release beers: Zaison, Trebuchet and Tripel. The Tripel will be our focus in this review. … Read entire article »

The internet is a fabulous place full of wonder and awesomeness. We are now connected to people and ideas from all over the world. Yesterday morning while trolling the internet for some of that awesomeness, we stumbled on an intriguing article on Gizmodo. … Read entire article »
Short’s Brewing The Wizard
February 7th, 2012 | Add a Comment
Before I begin, you should know that this beer is one that was very much a love it or hate it beer for us. The Wizard is a barley wine which typically is a higher alcohol, richer tasting beer, and is not necessarily for everyone. Usually we can come to some type of gentlemanly agreement on our reviews, but on this one we had ratings from 3 to 6 and nearly a fisticuffs match. … Read entire article »

Atwater Block Brewery Shaman’s Porter
November 17th, 2011 | Add a Comment
Men love charcoal. It is dirty, black and smelly. It makes grilled things taste delicious. It is also useful in aging all sorts of alcohols. Scotch, tequila, wine, and our personal favorite here at Tuesday Nights: bourbon. The growing trend in the brewing industry of using old bourbon barrels for aging beer has had some great results, but some others that are, in a word, meh. Enter a bourbon barrel aged porter called Atwater’s Shaman … Read entire article »

Dark Horse Brewing Company Raspberry Ale
August 25th, 2011 | Add a Comment
Let me start this review by saying that I love raspberries. They are obviously the best fruit due to their tastiness and modern look (I’m sure the good Lord was thinking of design when he made the raspberry). With that in mind, I also want to be completely honest and let you all know I don’t really care for fruit beer, so when I heard we were going to be sampling Dark Horse’s Raspberry Ale … Read entire article »

North Peak Brewing Diabolical IPA
August 25th, 2011 | Add a Comment
We love this beer, but before I address our fondness of Diabolical IPA, I also wish to express our appreciation of their wonderfully designed labels. They are clean, easy to read and feature fun graphics. (Dark Horse, take note) Diabolical IPA is no exception to this standard as it features an American legend nearly as revered as Chuck Norris: The Jackalope. … Read entire article »

Dark Horse Brewing Boffo Brown Ale
July 23rd, 2011 | Add a Comment
We don’t enjoy being so full of haterade, but Dark Horse has let us down again with Boffo Brown Ale. Here at our Tuesday Night scientific research lab (it’s not really scientific…or a lab for that matter) we taste many beers and we all like different styles, but the one style most of us enjoy is a good brown ale. They tend to be nice and mellow with rich flavors that are pleasing to the … Read entire article »

New Holland Brewing Imperial Hatter IPA
April 19th, 2011 | Add a Comment
We have come to respect New Holland Brewing for their many delicious beers. They craft some very unique and original beers that make us drool like Saint Bernards. We came upon their Imperial Hatter filled with all of those expectations dancing like sugar plums in our heads. Sadly our expectations were met with a ho-hum review. … Read entire article »

Founders Brewing Co. Centennial IPA
February 26th, 2011 | Add a Comment
The world we live in is full of beer. It comes in all shapes and sizes; ales & lagers, Budweiser’s & Miller’s, Bell’s & Dogfish Head’s. Some beers are extremely unique with exotic flavors and tastes, and others are really bland with only 55 calories. … Read entire article »
