
One of my favorite sandwiches to eat is the Reuben. The combination of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing all grilled on rye bread is one of the best sandwich creations ever created. Unfortunately, there is no clear origin of the sandwich, but I do appreciate the one from about 1925 when Reuben Kulakofsky of Omaha, Nebraska dreamed up the sandwich for his fellow weekly poker players.
