Tri-City Brewing Fortunato: Belgian-Style Trappist Ale

Religious or not, the Trappist monks deserve a thanks from all the beer drinkers in the world. Since the 1600s, monasteries have been brewing some wonderful ales. Today there are over 170 monasteries in the world but only 7 are brewing (insert sad face here). Fortunato from Tri-City Brewing is not a true Trappist Ale since it was brewed in Michigan, but has many similar qualities as those from Belgium and the Netherlands. … Read entire article »
